Been wanting to make a shelf for my hot wheels for the past 2 years. Finally did it and made my own Hot Wheels sign out of leftover plywood.
Not bad, I don’t usually do this sort of stuff. No way was I spending $50 on etsy for a sign.
Some of my most favorite hot wheels.
Dat Datsun
Making it. Printed a large hot wheels logo on some sheets of paper and traced it onto thin plywood. Used the dremel scroll attachment to cut out the letters and the scroll saw to cut the flaming logo. Best power tool Harbor Freight sells IMO.
Finished my AMD Ryzen build. Finally got it working stable. Windows 10 sucks, but im making the best of it. Accidentally deleted my boot drive. Thats why you make copies :)
Icy blue, but shows up white.

Noice work!
I usually get those hobby store golf ball display cases, then flip the hanging cleats to the other side, to hang them upside down. The molding looks better, and the shelves are flat on that side, instead of dimpled for golf balls. Each shelf holds 6-7 cars pretty well, even a bit bigger than 1:64.
Yours fills the space well, and holds a lot more!
Good choice on cars, too.

Nice shelf, needs more cars. There is a rule about that, nature abhors unused garage and Hot Wheels shelf space as much or more than a vacuum, and regardless of size it will quickly fill up.

That sign is epic! And nice work on the shelf :) I’m sure it will be full by the end of 2020 with the stuff that’s coming haha.

Jealous man , nice! Display unit is neat.. shows off car colors well, wood has a nice finish & tone. Rows are spaced to give a litt le extra room for the vehicles w/o being overcrowded.. so you hit it out of the park!
But that logo.. WOW! Has character & is icing on the cake!
